FET #3: Beta 1 & 2

First, before I get into the numbers, I want to say thank you so much to everyone who commented on our positive HPT result post. You all are the best!

Monday was beta #1 and today was beta #2. We were hoping for an initial result of 100 or so on Monday, and then of course for it to double from then (as it needs to) today.

  • Beta 1-805 (10dp6dt)
  • Beta 2-2,520 (12dp6dt)
  • Beta 3-Friday (14dp6dt)

In no way did we expect such high numbers, and whats more, a number that tripled in 2 days. Our numbers have never been this high, this early on. We are very grateful to God for getting us through this step in the long process ahead. We arent taking anything for granted. Not one single minute. We pray things continue to progress everyday. Our first ultrasound is scheduled in a few weeks. I am not even thinking that far out though, other than praying we get there. We are living day to day with this pregnancy and rejoicing in every milestone.

As far as symptoms go, I have been having headaches in the evenings. My boobs are pretty swollen, not really sore. Some foods that normally sound great dont. Im 4w4d today.

Keep us in your thoughts & prayers please!

  1. 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃👯 that’s me doing a happy dance for you! Your numbers are great, and very similar to what I had with Luke. And a great doubling time (like I had with this tiny). What is your due day?

  2. This is so great to read! You’re literally the only reason I even check fb most days. I’ve been praying for you and sending positive vibes your way. I hope everything goes smoothly for your dad your hubby. I was told a while ago having kids probably wasn’t in the cards for me and honestly it hit me hard even though kids were the last thing on my mind so I can’t even wrap my brain around all you have been though. Can’t wait for your next post!

    • Hi Kayla! So sweet of you to follow along with us each day. Thank you so much! Im sorry about the news you were given. Its such a hard thing to accept as a woman regardless of where you are in the process. I think its just part of our instinct as we get older to reproduce. If it is something you want, keep the faith. Thanks again dear 😘

  3. Hi Angela,

First I’d like to say congratulations to you and Shane. It seems you might be having twins base on your b-Hcg. We too have been struggling with infertility for 8 years now. We did 3 full rounds of IVF which include 6 FET and 1 fresh transfer. The first FET resulted in our 2.5 year old son and the 7th fresh resulted in our twin boys whom I miscarried at almost 21 weeks due to incompetent cervix on 3/2/16. I stumbled on your blog since that day and have been thinking and hoping for your success daily. I wish you a successful pregnancy this time around for I know very well what it feels like to have lost a pregnancy. I’ll be praying and thinking of you through out your journey.

  4. Congrats! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Our 5th and finally successful pregnancy started with way higher numbers than our previous four losses did so it looks like a great sign. Hoping the days fly by until your first ultrasound : )

  5. Great news!!! The only time my betas rose higher than ever and were doubling correctly was with this pregnancy! I will continue to pray for you and I am so glad things seem to be going well! You should feel really good about those numbers! Today, that is all you can ask for!
