Fall Decorating/Shopping Day

I finally put out my (very simple) fall decorations yesterday.  The weather dipped into the 70’s (coldfront!) this weekend and I figured I better take advantage of the opportunity of it being somewhat fallish.  Plus, I was getting sick of just looking at the boxes that held all the decorations in them.

Here are a few pics of how it all turned out:

Pumpkin centerpiece on our dining table

Scarecrow I picked up at a yard sale

Mom pumpkin and her baby pumpkin

Fall cornucopia

Another pumpkin duo

Florida spin on the fall…seashells with autumn leaves

Flower centerpiece on our kitchen table

Another cute scarecrow

Notice the 2 little pumpkins on each end of the TV stand

The best for last…Tom the Turkey! My favorite!

After decorating, I ran to Party City to check out the Halloween costumes. Every year we attend our dear friends annual party, where my husband & I like to dress as a couple if we can. Here are some pics of our prior couple costumes:

Pirate theme

Popeye & Olive Oil

The Cat & Cat Burgular

Nerd & Naughty Teacher

A fisherman & his fish

Ninja & Geisha

Ninja Turtles

Originally, I wasnt sure if we would be attending the party this year because our FET was scheduled for the same week and I would have been on bedrest.  However, since the FET is off, we will be going & having some much needed fun.  My husband wants us to be clowns this year (dont ask my why, I think they are creepy), so thats what I was on the hunt for at Party City. I ended up buying bits and pieces of accessories to put together our costumes instead of purchasing the pre-packaged in a bag costumes.  I will be a cute clown, and he will be more of an evil looking clown (even creepier!).  I will post pics after!

  1. I love your decorations. I am so into seasonal and holiday decorating but cannot make my house look as great as that. I may take some of these ideas :). Love seeing your costumes- you are so pretty! Also obviously super fun to dress up every year. Enjoy the party!
